Flu Shot

November 30th, 2006 at 03:37 am

Once again our work was offering on-site flu shots to all employees. They were free but here that's not exactly a feature just a fact. I know I pay huge takes and sometimes have to wait for services. But it is nice that doing things to take care of myself aren't economic decisions.

I went on got my flu shot today. I actually barely felt it go in. The nurse giving it was amazing.

I, of course, had pain i my arm from the shot. Strangely The pain in my arm was where I thought the band-aid was and not where the band-aid actually was. Oh the other important fact about the pain is that it started coming this morning before the shot. I am pretty sure that it is safe to say the the pain wasn't real but psychosomatic.

Crossing my fingers that this stops me getting sick ths winter.

that nurse was so fast she made your arm hurt before she gave you the shot! *g* hey, at least you're willing to admit it's psychosomatic. my sister? not so much...

personally i don't get a flu shot b/c of my horselike constitution (as in 'healthy' not as in 'funny shaped and hairy'!). plus here there are so many shortages that i'd worry my flu shot should have gone to someone truly at risk (i.e. elderly, invalid, or small child).

Heck the thought of a flu shot makes my arm hurt.

I knew there were shortages in the US a few years ago- I thought that had been dealt with. Here there are no shortages and we are all recommended to get one.
