Scented Pits

April 21st, 2007 at 11:15 am

Anyone here have armpits that really care about the scent of your deoderant? I mean really!

Has anyone said to you "ooh that smells like you are wearing the new meadow breeze scent and that is so much nicer than that old spring breeze scent you wore. I never told you but that old scent was disgusting - kinda like a meadow that had just been fertalized".

Like really? You want to smell whafts of scent from your pits all day?

Personally I'm old fashioned and happiest when I can't smell my pits. If I want to wear perfume I'm not looking for Degree, Speedstick, Secret or Arrid to be my signature scent.

(this rant brought to you by an offhand comment someone made to me about how different companies are always changing the scents of their deoderants -which is why we can often get freebies or really good deals on clearnance)

Baaahahaha, thanks for that this morning. A little bit of laughter always helps!

And no, my pits don't seem to care at all. ;P

My daughter uses 'watermelon' Secret and my ds (aged 7) goes around smelling the stick all the time...for which she yells at him before snatching it back.

    Yep, the joys of motherhood!

Hahaha, I don't think any one would be that tacky to mention how deodorant smells on another, but some scent just doesn't go well with a person natural smell.

LOL. I am pretty sensitive to all the chemicals and smells and all that - the less scent the better.

You know a friend of mine sold environmental-friendly products and said she can't walk down the soap aisle at the grocery store any more without getting tears in her eyes and all that. Anyway, I walked into the Dollar Store the other day and about got knocked over by the smell of all the scented items. I don't know what it was but I just could not breathe in there. IT was awful. I don't buy environmental-friednly stuff, I just tend to keep my chemical use to a minimum - cleaners, make-up, etc. Anyway, when I can smell you I am not happy - LOL. Usually just too much - the deoderant and perfume - some of us can't handle the strong smells. Wink
