Memory like a Sieve

One way to save money is to not remember what you planned to buy. I went into the drug store with the knowledge that I needed to buy some emery boards. I wandered around and left without the emery boards. It wasn't until I got most of the way back to the office that I remembered why I had gone in there in the first place.

Oh, I HAVE to take a list--even for one item. I'll forget. I forget in the house going to write down the item, so I know I'll forget when I get to the store! This is one area where my brain just doesn't hold information.

Welcome to my world! I forget EVERYTHING if it's not written down. I'm constantly telling my kids,"Don't let me forget------." They think it's hysterical!

I never thought of it that way before! Hmm, now maybe I won't be so annoyed with myself when I forget to buy something.
