That dangerous subersive Canadian Money

May 7th, 2007 at 11:35 am

Oh my this is just too silly. You know us Canucks with our "monopoly money". Well we get into having fun on our quarters.

A few years ago our 25 cent piece here had a red poppy in the centre. On rememberance day (veterans day) we all wear a poppy to remember those who have fought for our country. So why not remember them when we spend money too!

Anyways, some US army folks came up here to the Great White north and got all spazzed out by our unusual quarters - thinking it was spying on them.

Hey guys, relax it is a quarter and not a bug.

Isn't that so ridiculous! Of course their little minds only leapt to that conclusion because they probably are developing a way to make our money spy on us!

Weird. I've never seen that quarter before. I live in a border town so I've seen my share of Canadian quarters. It's pretty.

You know the best thing about Canadian quarters is that they weigh the same as the new American quarters and can be used in our vending machines and parking meters, so if we're given some in change by mistake its no big deal. No one even notices if they have American or Canadian quarters here anymore.
