Did I miss the memo?

I just booked a hotel room in London, Ontario and got this message:

Now that you've booked your stay at Econo Lodge®, don't forget to pack your laptop. Because now Econo Lodge® hotels in the U.S. offer free wireless Internet hotspots.

So when did we become the 51st state? Did I miss something?

    On behalf of all Americans, please accept my apologies.

    I used to travel to Canada frequently with customers from overseas, and I spent a lot of time apologizing to Canadians whom my visitors would refer to as "Americans." It must be maddening.

    Surprisingly I find it more amusing than anything else.

    Oh and we do have July 4th here too.. its the day between July 3rd and July 5th..

    If you really want to laugh - with some of our humour we get our own back. This makes me howl.. you might not find it so amusing..
